Judge tears into two suspects accused of murdering a 3-year-old (2015)
A video of Judge Shannon Holmes criticizing Clifford Thomas and Jasmine Gordon for the alleged murder of Gordon's 3-year-old daughter ended with the judge stating, "don’t even think about bond, I’m not entertaining it. And I wish you all the very best. And I’m really being sarcastic."[5]
The judge's incisive statement made it clear that she did not believe that the child simply hurt herself, as Thomas and Gordon claimed. She pointed to the medical examiner's testimony to the contrary, implying child abuse. The video of Holmes' statement went viral and can be seen below.[6]
