Bilbray-Axelrod's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[5]
Education
- Excerpt: "I’m a firm believer in 'You get what you pay for.' Investing in funding teacher salaries at a level that attracts the best and brightest and providing the resources they need to help every child become a priority. I’ve seen enough “drives” and bake sales in neighborhood schools, just so they can pay for programs and materials, and we need to do better."
Economy
- Excerpt: "I support the efforts on behalf of the legislature to bring thousands of new jobs to our state. Diversification and expansion of the job base are how Nevada thrives in the 21st century."

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
