Shannon Cauley is the District 7 representative on the Baldwin County Board of Education in Alabama. Cauley won without opposition in her re-election bid on November 8, 2016. She defeated challenger Chris Francis in the primary election on March 1, 2016, to advance to the general election.
Biography
Cauley is a board member of the Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation. She previously served as a member of the Virtual High School Commission for the Alabama Association of School Boards. Cauley and her husband, Mark, have two children.[1][2]

Two of the seven seats on the Baldwin County Public Schools school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on March 1, 2016.
District 4 incumbent Norman Moore did not file for re-election, while District 7 incumbent Shannon Cauley (R) ran for another term. Newcomer JaNay Dawson (R) ran unopposed in the District 4 race. Cauley defeated Chris Francis (R) in the primary election. Dawson and Cauley won election without opposition in the general election.[3][4]
