Shannon Chambers
Shannon Chambers is the Nevada Commissioner of Labor. Chambers assumed office on December 29, 2014. Chambers' current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Chambers was appointed by Nevada Department of Business and Industry Director Bruce Breslow and took office on December 29, 2014. Chambers succeded Thoran Towler as commissioner after he resigned to become general counsel for the Nevada Association of Realtors.[1]
Biography
Before her appointment as Nevada Commissioner of Labor in December 2014, Chambers occupied several roles in the Nevada state government including chief financial officer and deputy director of administration for the Nevada Department of Business and Industry. She has also worked at the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau.
Chambers holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Reno and a law degree from Pepperdine University.[1]
