Biography

Shannon McDaniel was born in Wisconsin. She earned an associate degree from Western Nevada College in 2007 and a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2010. Her career experience includes working as an engineer. She worked at the Nevada Division of Water Resources for nine years and left with the job title of chief of the Well Drilling Regulations and Adjudications Sections. McDaniel has been affiliated with the Nevada Water Resources Association and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.[1]

I grew up in Dayton, Nevada. I received my Associates in Math from Western Nevada Commmunity College and Bachelors in Environmental Engineering from UNR. I play soccer on some of the local recreation leagues.
  • I am a licensed Professional Environmental Engineer.
  • I am a licensed Water Rights Surveyor.
  • I want to put in the work to review bill language for unintended consequences and to work with my fellow legislators to better our State.
Nevada Water Law, fire hazard mitigation and policies that pertain to Nevada's resources.
I worked in the fast food industry every summer starting when I was 13.
