Sharen Swartz Neuhardt was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 10th Congressional District of Ohio.[1]
Biography
After earning a law degree in 1976, Neuhardt moved back to Dayton and began practicing law and a local firm. She practices business law at Business Law Thompson Hine LLP.
Elections
2012
Neuhardt lost to Republican Mike Turner.[2] Neuhardt ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Ohio's 10th District. She defeated five other candidates in the March 6, 2012 Democratic primary. She faced incumbent Mike Turner (R) and David Harlow (L) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3]
The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Ohio in 2012 as one of the 10 states that could have determined whether Democrats retook the House or Republicans held their majority in 2013.[4] Ohio tied with Pennsylvania for 9th on the list.[4]

In 2008, she lost to Steve Austria (R) to represent Ohio's 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.[5]
