Sharon Durbin was a Libertarian candidate for Oregon secretary of state in 2016.[1] She was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.

She was previously a 2014 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Oregon.[2] Durbin lost to incumbent Greg Walden (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[3]

Biography

Durbin is a retired attorney and prosecutor. She previously served on the Forest Grove Planning Commission for five years and on the board of directors for the Libertarian Party of Oregon.[4]

Durbin filed to run as a Libertarian candidate in the 2016 election for Oregon governor. She competed with Brad Avakian (D), Dennis Richardson (R), Pacific Green Party of Oregon candidate Alan Zundel, Independent Party of Oregon candidate Paul Damian Wells, and Constitution Party candidate Michael P. Marsh in the November general election.[1]
