Sharon Erickson Ropes (b. January 23, 1954) was a Democratic member of the Minnesota State Senate. She was first elected to this position in November of 2006 with her term expiring in 2010. Before becoming a senator, Ropes was president of the Winona School Board. She was defeated in the November 2, 2010, general election.

Ropes graduated with her bachelor's degree in nursing and French from the College of Saint Teresa in 1976. She served as an officer in the United States Navy Nurse Corps from 1977 to 1982. She is a registered nurse.

Ropes lost re-election to the 31st District seat in 2010. She had no primary opposition. Jeremy Miller ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[2]

2006

On November 7, 2006, Ropes won election to the 31st District Seat in the Minnesota State Senate, defeating opponents Brenda Johnson (R) and Kevin Kelleher (I).[3]
