Sharon Howard
Sharon Howard was a Democratic candidate in the 2011 special election for District 136 of the Georgia House of Representatives. She was running to the fill the seat vacated by Tony Sellier (R) who died November 30 of congestive heart failure. However, health issues forced her to withdraw from the race.[1] Howard unsuccessfully challenged Sellier in the 2010 general election.
Elections
2011
Howard withdrew from the race in late January for health reasons. She would have faced Judye Sellier (R) and Robert Dickey (R) in the February 15, 2011 special election to Georgia State Senate, District 136.[2] Dickey ultimately won election to the seat.[3]
2010
Howard had no opposition in the primary. She lost to incumbent Tony Sellier (R) in the November 2 general election.[4]
