Sharon Latten Clark (Democratic Party) is a member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, representing District 2. She assumed office on January 8, 2024. Her current term ends on January 10, 2028.
Latten Clark (Democratic Party) won election to the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to represent District 2 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Biography
Sharon Latten Clark graduated from Xavier Preparatory High School. Clark earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Xavier University and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of New Orleans. Her career experience includes working as a principal, an assistant principal, and an English teacher.[1][2]

Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote.
