Recall reports

An effort to recall Sharon Tyler from her position as county clerk of Berrien County, Michigan, was launched in August 2014. It did not result in Tyler's removal from office. The Michigan Board of State Canvassers rejected the recall petitions in a clarity hearing on September 4, 2014.[1]

The effort started after Tyler filed a motion that temporarily halted the Benton Harbor mayoral recall election over petition signature issues. She also filed an appeal with the Michigan Court of Appeals against a Berrien County Trial Court ruling to put the mayoral recall on the November ballot. Recall supporters said they did not agree with the appeal. The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Tyler's appeal, keeping the mayoral recall off the ballot.[1][2][3]
