Biography
Shaun Bryant was born in Missouri. Bryant earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2008 and an M.D. from Grand Canyon University in 2018. His career experience includes working as an educator and Level III certified Leader in Me coach and consultant. Bryant served as co-chair of AIDS Walk KC from 2016 to 2018 and has been affiliated with KC Frontrunners & Walkers.[1]

|I believe students have a voice that should be harnessed and used to accelerate schools. Student voice = student belongingness = student attendance = student improvement.
The discipline system should maintain student dignity at all times, and proactive approaches are most always the most effective.
The Board itself needs to model behaviors of high trust individuals, which I can bring to the Board as a Level III certified trainer of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This includes effectively utilizing Public Comment and Board Member Report periods of meetings.- If there are receive policies in place to deal with discipline, but no proactive policies, it's time to re-write policy.
- The structure of the school system must imbed opportunities for all students to have leadership roles and contribute their voice. If a kid can do it, why should an adult?
- The Board itself must re-write some board policies and protocols to increase the trust the community has in it as a whole.
My dad. He is such a loyal man who always does what his conscience tells him he *should* do. I get my moral compass from him. I will always do what I know in my heart is right even if it's not popular
