Shawn Keough (Republican Party) is a member of the Idaho State Board of Education. Keough's current term ends in 2030.
Keough (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Idaho State Senate to represent District 1. Keough won in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
Keough's professional experience includes working as the Executive Director of Associated Logging Contractors. Keough holds an Associate of Arts degree from Lewis Clarke State College and an Associate of Science from North Idaho College.[1]

Elections for the Idaho State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Incumbent Shawn A. Keough defeated Danielle Ahrens in the Republican primary, while Christian Fioravanti defeated Jack Mervin in the Constitution Party primary. Keough defeated Fioravanti in the general election.[8][9][10]

Redistricting placed District 2 incumbent Joyce Broadsword (R) into District 1 with Keough, leading to a potential 2012 faceoff between the two.[11] However, rather than face Keough in a primary, Broadsword announced she would not be seeking re-election.[12]
Keough defeated Danielle Ahrens in the primary on May 15 and was challenged by Laura Bry in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012. Bry withdrew from the race on June 21, 2012, leaving Keough unopposed.[13][14]

When she served in the state Senate, Keough and her husband, Mike, had two children. During that time, she was also a member of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce and a member of Idaho Women in Timber.
