|- Government functions at its best at the lowest level possible. A strong local government is more capable to fit the needs of its residents than a large and bloated Federal government.
- Reduce federal excise taxes. In theory, excise taxes are meant to persuade or deter citizens from purchasing certain products. However, all they do is take money out of the hands of citizens and adversely affect the poor and middle class.
- The Affordable Care Act is increasing the cost of private health insurance. Section 9008 imposes an annual fee on branded prescription pharmaceutical manufacturers and importers. Section 9009 imposes an annual fee on medical device manufacturers and importers. Section 9010 imposes an annual fee on health insurance providers.
