Border Security and Immigration
Shawn Tiffany will first and foremost enforce strong border protections by finishing the wall, hiring additional border agents, and investing in security technology. When Shawn is elected to Congress, the safety and security of Americans will always come first. We must fix our immigration system so states like Kansas can have their workforce needs met. Citizenship should not be a reward for those whose first interaction with our country was an illegal act, no matter how well intentioned. However, for those that want to enter our country legally, either to become a citizen or for work purposes, we must do better to improve the process.
We do not have a nation if we do not have secure borders. Shawn Tiffany supports President Trump in his efforts to combat the flow of drugs and illegal immigrants entering the United States. Shawn will work with the President to build the wall along the Southern border, reinstate Remain in Mexico, defund sanctuary cities, and end chain migration. We cannot give taxpayer funded benefits to those who broke the law to come here.
Illegal immigration not only hurts Americans, it endangers the lives of those entering illegally. These policies encouraged drug and human trafficking to illegally cross our borders and bring crime with them.
A nation without secure borders isn’t a nation at all. The Biden administration’s management of the southern border has been a disaster. Today, the federal government is rolling out the red carpet for illegal immigrants and failing to stop the fentanyl pouring across our border. Shawn Tiffany opposes these failed border policies and will work to secure our southern border by enforcing our immigration laws and completing the border wall.
Economy
Shawn Tiffany wants you to keep more of your hard-earned money. He knows the only way to grow our economy is through hard work, something Shawn and his wife Nicky are familiar with. They brought themselves up out of poverty without government assistance programs, instead choosing to put in the effort every day to start and grow their business.
With Joe Biden promising to end the middle-class tax relief that is benefiting Kansas families and small businesses, Shawn Tiffany is ready to go to Congress to make those Republican tax cuts permanent. The average middle-class Kansas family would pay $1,600 each year if the Trump tax cuts are repealed by Democrats to fund their economy-busting radical Green New Deal agenda.
Shawn Tiffany knows from experience that free enterprise underpins our nation and is the reason so many have been able to achieve the American Dream. Working in the agriculture industry, Shawn and his wife face the burden of heavy-handed regulation and endless government paperwork. Shawn Tiffany will fight to free small businesses from over-regulation implemented by the Biden Administration.
China
China is our nation’s greatest foreign adversary, and our economy is far too reliant on them. It’s time to bring manufacturing back to the United States and end our reliance on Chinese supply chains. Additionally, the Chinese Communist Party has access to too much American data and technological infrastructure, using it to spy on our military, our communities, and our citizens. Shawn Tiffany will take practical steps to fight these intrusions, like banning TikTok, shoring up our data security, and supporting a strong national defense against all foreign threats. We can no longer allow China to buy land adjacent to our military sites and universities, infiltrate our colleges and universities with pro-China professors, and manipulate our currency. Shawn Tiffany will fight to end China’s intrusions and risks to American safety, opportunity, and freedom.
Right to Life
Shawn Tiffany will fight to defend the rights of the unborn and uphold the sanctity of life.
As a father of 5, “pro-life” is not just a slogan for Shawn Tiffany — it is a way of life. The Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which returned to legislators the power to restrict abortion, was a remarkable victory. But the work should not stop there. Shawn Tiffany and his wife Nicky are committed to supporting struggling moms and women who have unplanned pregnancies. We can do more. It’s time we create a stronger culture of life that values the dignity of all God’s children.
Second Amendment
Our constitutional republic was created with limited government functions to protect the individual rights to Life, Liberty, and Property. We must preserve our 2nd Amendment freedoms against the tyranny of the government and protect the sanctity of all human life.
Shawn Tiffany will defend law-abiding citizens and their constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms. Growing up here in Kansas, Shawn Tiffany is an avid hunter who believes in our way of life. Shawn also knows firearm ownership is about more than hunting. Our Second Amendment rights are vital to defending all of our other liberties. In Congress, he will defend your right to bear arms.
Stop Federal Overreach
The Biden administration is seizing more and more control over nearly every aspect of our lives. From the Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) Rule to his plan to cancel student loan debt, Joe Biden has shown that he has no problem bypassing Congress to enact his radical and unconstitutional agenda. Shawn Tiffany will support policies that put a check on unelected bureaucrats and return control to the people of Kansas.
Our laws are convoluted and cumbersome. We must audit the government and simplify the code to provide more transparency. We passed laws to improve government efficiency in Kansas. In Congress, Shawn Tiffany will work to cut back the bureaucratic red tape and make it easier for the American people to hold their government accountable.
Spending and Debt
Our national debt is unsustainable. We must cut spending, reform welfare to empower, not suppress low-income individuals, and balance the budget. The debt can be tackled — not by raising taxes on U.S. citizens, but by taking a critical look at the unnecessary spending of the federal government.
Washington’s spending spree is out of control. Democrats’ reckless fiscal policies have led to rising prices across the board for Kansas families. In Congress, Shawn Tiffany will be a leader in the fight to cut government spending and stop your tax dollars from being wasted. Kansas businesses and families can’t get by spending more money than they bring in — Washington should work the same way. Shawn Tiffany will always treat your tax dollars like he treats his own and hold the federal government to the same standard.
Agriculture
Shawn Tiffany isn't a fifth-generation ag producer. He and his wife are first-generation ag producers. They chose a way of life that many Kansans are born into. And they built it all from the ground up into a successful business that allows them to invest back into their own community. Shawn Tiffany knows that pro-ag, fair-trade policies will bring prosperity to Kansas farmers and ranchers. He will work hard every day to lift the burden of government, tariffs, excessive regulations, and energy restrictions from Kansas ag producers. Shawn Tiffany will fight to keep Washington bureaucrats from making decisions about what farmers do and do not do with their private property. After all, the farmers and their families (in some cases for generations) worked hard to pay for their land—it’s theirs, not the government’s—and only the farmers should decide what they do with their land.
Back the Blue
Law enforcement plays a crucial role in keeping our communities safe. Unfortunately, our officers are under attack from radical Democrats who want to defund the police, end cash bail, and push their pro-crime policies on our cities and towns. Shawn Tiffany will always Back the Blue and stand up against all measures that defund law enforcement. Shawn will work to provide additional resources for local law enforcement to recruit more officers, upgrade equipment, and provide enhanced training to keep our families safe from crime.
Military and Defense
A fundamental function of the federal government is the protection of its people. A strong national defense is key to maintaining that protection. We must keep our military strong and provide better services to our veterans.
As we face worsening threats from foreign adversaries, Shawn Tiffany strongly believes that America must continue to be the beacon of freedom and prosperity for other countries around the world. Shawn will fully fund our military and support increased pay for service members to ensure we are effectively recruiting and retaining our nation’s best and brightest. The only litmus test dictating who gets in the military and who gets promoted must be merit alone. Shawn will vote to eliminate all other, non-merit-based tests. Shawn will always fight to keep our commitments to America’s servicemembers, veterans, and military families.
The role of the federal government is to protect its citizens. As your Congressman, Shawn Tiffany will fight to ensure our men and women in uniform have the proper tools to protect our nation from foreign adversaries.
When our brave troops come back home, Shawn will advocate for policies to guarantee jobs after active-duty service and provide essential mental health care for our veterans. For those who are willing to sacrifice their lives for our safety, we must support them upon their return home.
Shawn Tiffany believes in reforming the VA by supporting legislation that increases access and quality while protecting medical benefits. Shawn will support programs that work to end veteran suicide that focus on mental health rehabilitation for veterans who suffer from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and addiction.
Those who have served our country deserve access to quality healthcare, education, and every economic opportunity. They deserve access to postsecondary education to help them be able to provide them better career opportunities and the ability to provide for their families. In Congress, Shawn will fight for accountability and transparency for the VA. Brave Kansans have put their lives on the line for our state and nation. We cannot allow bureaucracy to get in the way of providing the care they need.
The heroism of veterans is sacred to the identity of America. Our government must protect those who have sacrificed everything to keep us safe at home.
Term Limits
Politics was never meant to be a career, but a duty to society. Shawn Tiffany will vote to implement term limits and will self-impose term limits on himself to a maximum six two-year terms or less.
We must get rid of career politicians in both parties that put profits and power above people, and we must set limits on how long public servants can serve in Washington. Today, Washington is full of career politicians who have lost touch with their constituents and believe their primary objective is to get re-elected. They enrich themselves and cultivate powerful connections that in turn fund their campaigns.
Shawn Tiffany is an outsider ready to go to Washington, D.C. to drain the swamp. Career politicians are out of touch with the needs and values of the people they claim to represent. We need to set term limits on members of the U.S. House of Representatives to prevent the revolving door and corruption. Term limits are essential to upholding the integrity of our political system.
Parental Rights
As parents of five, Shawn Tiffany and his wife, Nicky are committed to putting parents first when it comes to the upbringing of their children. Parents, not progressives in Washington D.C., are the ultimate authority on their children’s education. In Congress, Shawn Tiffany will fight for parental rights in education and oppose the Woke Left’s attempts to indoctrinate our children in the classroom.
Wokeness
Wokeness is an attack on truth, decency, and common sense. The Woke Left wants us to judge people on the color of their skin, not the content of their character. They want to allow men to play in women’s sports and use women’s restrooms and locker rooms. They want confused kids to undergo unnecessary, irreversible medical treatments. And worst of all, they want to push their twisted ideologies of race, gender, and sexuality on all our kids—even in our schools.
Shawn Tiffany will fight to end wokeness at every turn, starting with basic truths: Men are men; women are women. Whatever someone’s skin color, we’re all God’s children, and we should all be judged on our merits alone. It is unfair for biological males to compete in women’s sports, and Shawn will fight attempts by biological males to steal opportunities and scholarships from young women. We must ban irreversible hormone treatment and gender reassignment surgeries for confused kids. The Far Left can’t cancel Shawn Tiffany.
