Shawn Traini is a judge of the Alaska Third District District Court. He assumed office in 2020. His current term ends in 2027.
Traini ran for re-election for judge of the Alaska Third District District Court. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
He was appointed to the court on December 6, 2019 by Governor Mike Dunleavy (R) to replace John W. Wolfe.[1]
Biography
Traini received his bachelor's degree from Utah State University in 1996 and his J.D. from the University of Utah, College of Law in 1999. His legal experience includes serving as a Deputy Public Defender, Deputy Prosecutor, and Assistant Municipal Prosecutor. Directly prior to his appointment, he was serving as an Assistant District Attorney.[2]
