- Service is my life’s purpose. I can confidently say that because it’s a place where I find great fulfillment. I have enjoyed working with students as a Junior Achievement volunteer. I’ve loved serving as a social service advisory board member, taking an active role regarding how our city’s services meet the needs of our citizens. I cherished the opportunity on the mayor’s commission on racial justice and equality to directly cultivate solutions to our city’s housing and gentrification problems. I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving you as your councilmember. I love my job!
- It has been an honor to be an advocate in our community for over 17 years. My professional life’s work has been advocating for the needs of others, and I love this work. Doing this work has allowed me to see the good, the bad, and the promise of our community. It is the promise of a better future that motivates me to continue fighting. As your current councilmember, I have successfully advocated for ending hair discrimination in the workplace by sponsoring the C.R.O.W.N. Act ordinance in Lexington. Additionally I have successfully advocated for the need of source of income housing protections in Lexington. I will continue to be your advocate as your council member and uplift the issues that are important to you and your family.
- I want a true partnership with you–a working relationship where we all have a seat at the table, all voices are heard, and together we act to make the second district and the city the best it can be. We won’t always agree. Sometimes the work will seem impossible. However, if you agree to continue to partner with me on November 5th, I will show up ready to do the work with you as I have always done. Vote for me as your 2nd district council member on November 5th.

I has been involved in several professional and community organizations throughout Lexington and Central Kentucky. She formerly served on the Fayette County Public School’s Equity Council and is currently serving on the Ethics Commission for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. Also, I am a past board member of the Lexington League of Women Voters and currently serve on the Social Services Advisory Committee for the city of Lexington.
I am a member of the Lexington Urban League Young Professionals, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and is a 2019 graduate of Leadership Lexington (the BEST class to graduate). In 2020, I was also appointed to serve on the Property Tax Appeals Board for the city of Lexington.
As working with young people is one of my passions, I also regularly volunteer with the Junior Achievement program and serve on the Program Advisory Committee for Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass.
When not working in the community, I enjoy exercising, my favorite form of self-care.- SERVICE: “Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.”― Shirley Chisholm I began serving my community when I was six years old. I was an active member of my Girl Scout Troop (Troop 422) and I learned the importance of taking an active interest in the welfare of my community. The leadership and community service ideals learned as a Girl Scout coupled with the continuing examples of servant-leadership that my parents provided, and still provide to this day, I can confidently say that public service is my life’s purpose. For over 17 years I have found fulfillment in serving our community in various capacities and I want to continue this work as your city council member.
- ADVOCACY: "If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair." ― Shirley Chisholm Being a community champion for more than 17 years has been a privilege. Supporting victims of sexual assault and housing discrimination has been the focus of my professional career. I've been able to observe the positives, negatives, and potential of our town. As your representative on the city council, I want to fight to promote positive change in our neighborhood not just for you but WITH you. When making decisions on behalf of our community, I will give voice to those whose opinions are frequently ignored. I'm inspired to keep fighting because there is hope for a brighter future.
- PARTNERSHIP: “I am and always will be a catalyst for change.”― Shirley Chisholm As a member of your city council, I invite you to join me at the table as we work to build thriving communities in our city. There's no need to get pull up a chair; I've got one just for you! Let's get this job done together! Through my advocacy and community service, I've formed many partnerships along the way and will continue to forge alliances that will help us achieve our goals for a thriving community. As a facilitator for the "On The Table" community discussions, I fellowshipped and discussed the city's current housing crisis with many community members, as well as potential solutions.
