Biography
Miller is the executive director of the Cleveland County Arts Council. She obtained a bachelor's degree in home economics and biology from Meredith College. She received an additional bachelor's degree in political science and communication from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.[3]

Incumbents Roger Harris, Richard Hooker Jr., and Shearra B. Miller won re-election to their seats. The other two seats on the ballot were won by Jo Boggs and Jeff Jones.
