Shearra B. Miller is an at-large member of the Cleveland County Board of Education in North Carolina. She was first elected in 2004. The seat was up for general election on November 3, 2015.[1][2] Shearra B. Miller won the general election on November 3, 2015.

Miller is the executive director of the Cleveland County Arts Council. She obtained a bachelor's degree in home economics and biology from Meredith College. She received an additional bachelor's degree in political science and communication from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.[3]

Five of the nine seats on the Cleveland County Schools school board were up for at-large general election on November 3, 2015.

Incumbents Roger Harris, Richard Hooker Jr., and Shearra B. Miller won re-election to their seats. The other two seats on the ballot were won by Jo Boggs and Jeff Jones. Harris, Hooker, Miller, Boggs, and Jones defeated George Falls, Yvette D. Grant, William Gray, Darius Griffin, Hal Hastings, L. E. Henson, Nikki Ledford, Ray Lockhart, Howard Mcleod, Howard Thompson Jr., Robert Queen, and incumbent Jerry D. Hoyle.[4][2][5]
