Funding

Wynn opted for mini reporting in this election, according to the Washington Public Disclosure Commission.[3] Candidates who opted for this had to keep a record of their contributors and expenditures, but were not required to report them. If they raised and spent more than $5,000 in aggregate or received more than $500 from any one contributor, including themselves, they would have had to switch their filing status from mini to full reporting.[4]

Wynn submitted the following statement to the Pierce County voters' guide:[1]

My husband and I, have a 10 year old that attends Maplewood Elementary. I truly belive a quote I found that says, “Math is the language of the Universe”. Children are naturally curious and keeping that alive, throughout ones life, is the best gift. Math and Science are at the heart of our knowing about our world and it fuels our curiosity, this is my focus. Knowledge

is power, and once gained can never be taken away. A great education is a right. Public schools should continue to abide by a family’s right to establish their own family’s religious/non-religious identities and traditions outside school. We can make the dreams of our children “real” because it’s too important not to. I’ve worked in Conservation Education, Private Firms, Planning and Land Services, and Public Works. I believe I would be a valuable member of the team. If elected, portables will be at the top of my list along with planning for new neighborhood schools.[5]
