Three of the seven seats on the Killeen Independent School District Board of Trustees were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. In the Place 1 race, incumbent Shelley Wells defeated challenger Phillip Floyd. Place 2 incumbent Susan Jones won re-election against challenger Laura Allen. Place 3 incumbent Corbett Lawler defeated challengers Amanda Casebier and Phyllis Nairn.[1]
