I'm an Accountant running for Dallas County Treasurer. I earned a BBA in Accounting in 1987 from UT Arlington. My education and background have been in positions where I accurately and transparently take care of other people’s money. I’m an accountant by degree and by temperament. I’ve worked in large corporations, in small companies including an investment company and even started my own business. I know the stress and pressure of meeting rent and payroll, especially meeting rent and payroll in a pandemic. I've been married to my husband Bruce for 38 years. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren all living in Dallas County. I've never run for public office but I believe that good people need to step up and get involved in our government. My business background and training in finance will be a good fit for the Treasurer's Office.
  • Service. Not Politics
  • Your banker’s politics should not matter to you, nor should your politics matter to your banker. What matters is solid and accurate accounting.
  • As a businesswoman, I know the impact even small improvements can make to the bottom line. I’m ready to dig in and bring a business efficiency to county government.
The Treasurer's office is not a policy office. It's is an internal function office. I have fiscally conservative opinions but I promise to keep my opinions out of the Treasurer's Office. The Treasurer serves as the "banker" of the county. Your banker’s politics should not matter to you, nor should your politics matter to your banker. What matters is solid and accurate accounting.
