Sitton ran for election to the 258th District Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 33.2 percent of the vote. She competed against E.L. McClendon and Cecil E. Berg.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Sitton faced McClendon in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. Sitton was defeated, earning 46.3% of the vote.
