Biography

Sherri Reese was born in Tuskegee, Alabama. She served in the U.S. Army from 1992 to 2016. She earned a bachelor's degree from Touro University in 2003 and a graduate degree from Webster University in 2018. As of 2022, Reese was retired.[1]

Sherri Reese was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, and raised in Opelika, Alabama. She graduated from Opelika High School in 1991. Reese served in the United States Army from 1992 to 2016, during which time she reached the enlisted rank of Master Sergeant and in 2009 she was commissioned at Ft. Benning, Georgia retiring as a Captain. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business General Management from Touro University, California in 2002, and a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University, Missouri in 2017.

For the past four years, Reese has continued her service to community by volunteering as an asst track and field coach at Opelika High, a member of the Lee-Russell Transportation Board and a Community Liaison for Opelika Police Dept.

  • My interpersonal and reasoning skills are combat tested and battle approved; these skill may prove to be very useful in working past divisive politics and placing the focus back on the concerns of my constituents in Dist 27.
  • I have dedicated 30 years of service to my constituents in Dist 27, I have done it selflessly with honor and integrity. I promise the same for the next four years.
  • I want to be the voice for all in Dist 27. A victory for me may not deliver immediate and decisive change in policy but nothing can change unless we have a seat at the table.
Health Care. Everyone deserve access to affordable health care and those in rural areas should have access to local care.
