Sherry D. Prince
Sherry D. Prince was a district court judge for the 13th Judicial District, which presides over Bladen, Brunswick and Columbus counties of North Carolina.[1] She was appointed to the court by former Governor Bev Perdue in April 2009 and elected to the court in November 2010 to a full four-year term that expired in 2014.[2] Prince was defeated in her bid for re-election in 2014.[3]
Education
Prince received her undergraduate degree from Pembroke State University and her J.D. from the Campbell University School of Law.[4]
Career
Before her appointment to the court, Prince was an attorney, practicing law with her law partner, Senator R.C. Soles.[2]

Prince ran for re-election to the 13th Judicial District.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 43.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Willie Fred Gore.

Judicial performance evaluation
In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[5]

Prince was re-elected to the 13th Judicial District after running unopposed.[6]
