Commonsense Solutions

Kansas is falling behind

Kansas has a long history of solving problems before political point scoring. Tax loopholes and increased taxes on middle and low income families are punishing schools, families, and investors in the Kansas economy. The current experiment on Kansas puts us 45th in new business creation, last in our region for job growth, plummeting revenues, downgraded state credit rating, and struggling schools. I want to bring a voice to the Legislature that focuses on strengthening Kansas businesses and schools and solving problems by valuing the hard-working farmers, ranchers, small businesses, and families of Kansas.

Value Schools
Sherry values our students and teachers and will make them a priority.

Strong schools are the very foundation of a strong economy. Funding them properly should not be an action forced by the Supreme Court, but be the guiding principle of all candidates including the governor. Likewise, I respect classroom teachers and this has always been a Kansas value. Yet the current governor and his go-along legislature have removed due process for K-12 teachers leaving them vulnerable to dismissal without cause.[2][3]
