|I am a Supervisor of the Checklist in Sanbornton and never contemplated running for another elected office until this year. I am running for State Representative to present an alternative voice in the Legislature, which seems out of touch with the majority of voters of our state. I am a grandmother, a mother and a wife. I have been an advocate for the planet and for world peace for most of my adult life. I have been involved in clean-ups, marches, and education about the dangers of our nuclear arsenal. I enjoy spending time outside, walking in the woods and cross-country skiing. I am a reader, a baker, a singer, and a listener. I was a church treasurer for 10 years.
- I believe that we are all more alike than we are dissimilar. I care deeply about the future we are creating for our children and all the succeeding generations. I believe we are living at a pivotal moment.
- I pay attention to what is going on. I am a listener and am willing to change my mind as I learn more about an issue.
- I believe we will sink or swim together. Our future is a shared future, and problems anywhere ultimately affect everyone everywhere.
I am passionate about providing all of New Hampshire's children with the opportunity for high quality public education. The bulk of school funding should be raised and distributed by the state, not heavily reliant on local property taxes as it is currently. It is in all of our interests to have a well-educated citizenry to face the challenges of the future together with all talents developed. I support our public school teachers, and disagree with the "divisive concepts" law. I believe that the well-being of all our children must be supported.
