Interview with Springfield Daily Citizen

Gladney highlighted the following themes in an interview with Springfield Daily Citizen published on July 14, 2024 and updates on July 18, 2024. [4]

While open to working with Republican lawmakers to change the initiative petition process, Gladney opposes any measures that would make it harder to amend the state constitution, and is strongly supportive of restoring abortion access in Missouri.

On education, Gladney called for universal pre-K and for the state to “pour into” the youth, no matter whether they’re enrolled in public or private schools.

“I believe that their child’s parent should have a right to make the decision on what school he or she wants that child to go to,” Gladney said.

If elected, Gladney said she would like to continue to raise teacher pay and aims to “make sure health care coverage is for all of Missouri,” while paying down the state’s debt and decreasing the budget.[5]
