Shirley Templo, was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii in the neighborhood of Kalihi with her Philippines' immigrant-working class parents. As a proud product of Hawaii's public school system, she graduated from Farrington High School. She then earned her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Honolulu Community College and her Bachelor's Degrees in Political Science and Communication from the University of Hawaii in Manoa. Templo's past community volunteer experiences includes, being an At-Large Boardmember with the Kalihi-Palama Neighborhood Board, a Secretary with the Farrington High School School Community Council, Social Media Chair with Hawaii's Children and Youth Day, and more. Templo's career experience includes being the Community Liaison/Legislative Aide for former Councilmember Joey Manahan and currently is the Co-founder and the Director of Marketing at 'Ilima Marketing.
