Shirley Emehelu is the New Jersey Comptroller. Emehelu assumed office on January 20, 2026. Emehelu's current term ends on January 20, 2028.
Mikie Sherrill (D) appointed Emehelu New Jersey Comptroller on January 2, 2026, to replace Kevin D. Walsh (Nonpartisan).[1]
Biography
Shirley Emehelu earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a law degree from Yale Law School. Her career experience includes working as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.[2]
