The Democratic primary election was canceled. Incumbent Nichole Armstead advanced from the Democratic primary for Richmond City Treasurer.
2009
Harvey received 6% of the vote in the general election on November 3, 2009, losing to Democrat Betsy Carr. Republican Ernesto Sampson also ran, receiving 22%.[1]
