Shirley Turner (Democratic Party) is a member of the New Jersey State Senate, representing District 15. She assumed office in 1998. Her current term ends on January 11, 2028.
Turner (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the New Jersey State Senate to represent District 15. She won in the general election on November 7, 2023.
Turner was a member of the New Jersey State Assembly from 1994 to 1998. Turner was the associate minority leader for the Assembly from 1996 to 1998.[1]
Turner was elected State Senate President Pro Tempore on January 9, 2024.[2]
Biography
Turner earned her B.A. in education from Trenton State College and her M.A. in guidance and counseling from Rider College. Turner later studied postgraduate studies and education at Rutgers University.[3] Her professional experience includes working as the associate director of career services at Rider University.
