Crews-Morris received a undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, a graduate degree from Albany State University and a J.D. from Mercer University.[2]

At the time of her appointment to the DeKalb County State Court, Crews-Morris was the deputy district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia.[2]
