I am ecstatic that my journey has led me to the campaign trail. Born and raised in the heart of Winston-Salem my roots run deep in this community. The foundation of my education was built in WSFC Public schools, culminating in graduation from EFHS in Kernersville. I pursued my passion for Politics at Wake Forest University, ultimately earning my Bachelor's degree. Fueled by a relentless commitment to justice, I decided to further my education at NCCU School of Law, earning a J.D. and passing the bar in 1999.

For more than 25 years, I've proudly held a North Carolina Bar license, with an unwavering dedication to my legal practice. I serve local clients in the areas of civil and criminal law, child custody, child support, divorces, equitable distribution, wills, deeds, contract reviews and negotiations. However, my commitment to serve others extends beyond the courtroom. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University alongside my legal pursuits. Since becoming a licensed Registered Nurse in 2007, I've passionately served in healthcare providing compassionate care at the the bedside.

My varied and extensive legal experience has allowed me to be a zealous advocate for my clients in every courtroom: district and superior state courts, as well as on the federal level. I have also had the incredible privilege to serve as a Forsyth County Magistrate after being trained at the UNC School of Government and receiving the judicial oath.
  • I am uniquely qualified to be the next District Court Judge of Forsyth County. Having served clients in every court: civil, criminal, child custody, child support, divorces, wills, deeds, and juvenile.

I have served as a Magistrate, trained at the UNC School of Government, and been sworn to the judicial oath. I have ruled in civil and criminal cases, set bonds, signed warrants, issued charges, and reviewed competency.

I am not only educated, but I have knowledge, skills and compassion for those who will appear before me.

I have already had the honor and privilege of presiding over cases and issuing rulings in civil and criminal matters.
  • I care about the community and will continue to humbly serve as I have over my 25 year legal career.
  • My family and I are citizens of Forsyth County, not just Winston-Salem. My Husband, who is a Navy veteran, and I have an 8 year old who attends public school. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She attends Taekwondo in Kernersville, Dance in Clemmons, and plays softball in Walkertown. We enjoy the entire county and try to interact with all of our county wide neighbors as much as possible. I am a member of several service organizations whose mission is to improve the lives of others. As District Court Judge, I will treat people with respect, listen intently as facts are presented, apply the law properly and reach a just and fair outcome each time.
Insuring the safety and security of our families. As District Court Judge, I will treat everyone with respect and always endeavor to reach a fair and just outcome in every case.
It is the responsibility of judges to treat people with respect as they listen intently, apply the law properly, and reach a just and fair outcome each and every time.
I would like to be remembered as someone who was always respectful and served the community with integrity.
Empathy is important. Compassion is important. The desire to be just and fair to every individual that appears before you is of ultimate importance. Listening to the facts of each case, applying the law properly, and reaching a fair and just outcome each time is paramount in the role of a judge.
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity when they appear before the court. I am passionate about serving the citizens of Forsyth County by listening intently, properly applying the law, and reaching a fair and just outcome in each and every case. I am from the community and I have a unique perspective having been a general practice attorney for the past 25 years as well as a registered nurse caring for patients for the past 16 years. I have compassion while believing that people must be held responsible for their actions. I have served as a Magistrate: issuing rulings in civil and criminal matters; hearing probable cause and determining whether to issue charges; and conducting bond hearings and issuing bonds within the recommended guidelines. Having been trained at the UNC School of Government and having received the judicial oath, I am the only candidate who has experience doing the job. It would be an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of Forsyth County as the next District Court Judge.
It is beneficial to serve in a similar capacity as the job you seek, such as my prior experience as a Magistrate. I was trained at the UNC School of Government and received the judicial oath. I have experience presiding over and making a ruling in civil and criminal matters; I have experience hearing bond motions; I have experience listening to law enforcement for key elements that constitute probable cause; I have experience determining whether a person should be held and committed as a threat to themselves or others. Experience matters. I am the only candidate in this race who has the knowledge, skills, and experience to be the next District Court Judge of Forsyth County.
I would count it as an extreme blessing and honor for the citizens of Forsyth County to vote for me and elect me as the next District Court Judge in Forsyth County District 31 Seat 10. I am qualified and ready to serve.
