Shukoor Ahmed was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 23A of the Maryland House of Delegates. He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat as a Democrat in 2010.

The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbent Geraldine Valentino-Smith was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Valentino-Smith defeated Shukoor Ahmed (I) in the general election.[1][2][3]
