I believe the office of Constable is one that requires a full-time commitment from a hard working citizen that will be proactive in the pursuit of serving the citizens of Jefferson County with pride and dignity. I assure the citizens that I will be reliable, dependable, and always willing to listen and It is my belief that I am well equipped to serve the community in full capacity that the office of Constable requires. some of those duties are and not limited to as follows: 1.Every constable shall be a conservator of the peace within his county. 2. To attend the circuit court of the county when summoned by the sheriff for that purpose; 3. To execute and return all summons, executions and other process directed to him by any lawful authority; 4.To pay over moneys collected by virtue of his office to the person entitled thereto; and 5. To perform such other duties as are or may be required of him by law.
Victim Crimes, protect the rights of workers within the society,Violence Against Women Act, education, Mental Health, crimes against children, racial and hate crimes, terrorism and homeland security.
constables as an elected or appointed "conservator of the peace within his county," and are one of the only two remaining elected peace officers in the world.
I think the most important characteristics of a person elected to this office is integrity, professionalism, honesty and fairness. I believe in having the highest integrity & character!
I'm a person with character because I believe in doing the right thing even if I have to stand alone. I believe in following proper protocol, I don't believe in corruption and I will always operate within the guidelines of the law. I possess these traits of integrity because I believe in fairness & I make it a practice not to cheat, steal or lie to people. I try to exhibit & demonstrate absolute honesty, integrity & professionalism at all times because these qualities are of paramount importance. Lastly, I am a team player and I enjoy working with people, since I really care for people, some I may know, those I don't & those I may meet in the future. I will stand up for what is right even if it is Unpopular! & I look forward to working alongside law Enforcement to Keep The Peace in my assigned Precinct.
Constables are also permitted to carry a gun, are authorized to make arrests, stop and question, search for dangerous weapons, escort weddings and funerals, and enforce traffic at churches and schools.
I belive that Constable's should be trained and certified by a state approved Academy.
