Sidney "Macky" McCleary
Sidney "Macky" McCleary is the former director Rhode Island Director of Business Regulation. He was first appointed to the position by Governor Gina Raimondo in January 2015 and left the position to become an administrator of the Rhode Island Division of Public Utilities and Carriers in September 2016.[1][2]
Biography
Prior to his appointment as Rhode Island Director of Business Regulation, McCleary served as the deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Quality. In that capacity, he assisted the department with its regulatory processes. Before entering the public sector, he worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company. McCleary resides in Providence, Rhode Island, and serves on the board of a nonprofit think tank called the Providence Plan.[1][3]
