Ballot question
The ballot question was as follows:[1]

Path to the ballot
This measure was put on the ballot through the process for local liquor options set out in Article 6 of North Carolina Revised Statutes. Local liquor options can be put on the ballot through a vote of local lawmakers or through a petition signed by 35% of registered voters.[3]
