My name is Simeon Pullum. I'm a candidate for Shively Council at Large. I am a life long Louisvillian and have been a Shively resident since 2009.

I served the city of Shively as the Chairman for the Ethics Committee. Our responsibility consisted of making sure any and all grievances and complaints were taken seriously and made whole.

I am also a former JCPS School Bus Driver for nearly 20 years and now serve as an In School Security Monitor this upcoming year being my 21st year. I'm currently enrolled at Simmons College of Kentucky Louisville's only HBCU seeking to receive my Bachelors in Business. I look forward to serving the citizens of Shively with dignity, respect and empathy. I ask that WE as Shively residents work harder to make our city more compassionate, neighborly and support our students and elderly. " If we all do a little no one has to do a lot" Thanks for your suppot, and I look forward to serving Shively Citizens in the very near future!
I'm wanting each of us to be treated fairly. Listen to everyones voice young, old, of all ages. Support our Mayor and our First responders and our schools in Shively. We must be Transparent!!
As councilman or any other political seat you must remember you're representing all of your citizens regardless of political affiliation and remain steadfast. Transparency is key.
I looked up to a gentleman by the name of Butch Martin former educator and mentor from JCPS at Kammerer Middle School. I emulate another great man by the name of Pink J. Garner late great mentor as I was getting older. These two men played a major role in my life.
No recommendations on books. Just approach and ask me. Ilove to conversate and have a healthy conversation and I'm a good debator as well.
Transparency, approachable, have an attentive ear, and a compassionate heart. We also must be fair.
By being a people person. Having patience and listening to folks. I have been blessed to have the ability to get along with just about anyone. We don't have to agree on all subjects but respect is something we must have.
Honesty, listening to our citizens and be held accountable woth our duties, and responsibilities. Again Transparency!
I'd like to leave a legacy of the person who tried to make a difference and making something better than the way I found it.
The scariest historical event was September 11, 2001. I was a school bus driver at age 29. The terrorist attack o. The Twin Towers changed the world.
My first job was Lentinis Italian Restaurant in the Highlands. I loved that job! I worked for Mr. Sonny Lentini from 1988-1990
The Greatest my own story by Muhammad Ali. Louisville's Legend. With Mr. Richard Durham.
Lionel Richies "Dancing on the ceiling"🕺
After losing my mother in November 2023 life has been different. It has been difficult to continue on with her wisdom, love and funny ways of life. She was a beautiful soul and I hope to continue to make her proud day by day.
The position on has 1 vote and that vote should not be taken lightly and we should listen to our citizens and represent them to the fullest.
I believe the person should be a resident and be open to listening and learning from those who have served and take a little fron each one. Learn implement and lead. Experience can be on the job training if willing to listen and learn.
Leadership in an organization or on the city committees. Willing to listen and learn and again be transparent.
Why can't a Leppard hide? Because he's always spotted😊
Former Mayor of Shively Beverly Chester-Burton.
My beliefs are if you're put in position of any government body spending money you must be held accountable , and remember it is NOT your personal money but it's the people's money and when voted to lookout for others money you must spend wisely.
