Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Simeon Snow & I'm happily married to Erika Snow & we have 3 children: Alexis, Camryn, & Landon. We reside in the friendly small town of Rector AR.

Over the last decade I've owned & operated Snow’s Tax & Financial with offices in two counties & I’ve owned various other businesses over the years as well. I have a degree in Business Admin Corporate Finance. I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole life. I’m the son of a preacher and school-teacher & they raised me well.

I've served on the Rector Downtown Central Board. I'm a formerly elected County Election Commissioner. I've also served as a former Board of Director for Clay County Electric.

We are involved in our local community & sponsor softball/baseball teams annually, involved in 4H w the kids, & other community activities.

I'll be running for Auditor of State. This is one of Arkansas's 7 constitutional officers. The Auditor serves as general accountant for the state & as payroll officer for the 3 branches of government. The Auditor also administers the unclaimed property program.

• My political philosophy: Less government equals more freedom!

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

The role of government should be very limited to the point that it serves only to protect Life, Liberty, & Property. It should never violate anyone's Life, Liberty, or Property.

What qualities does this office possess that makes it a unique and important part of the state government and legal system?

I'll be running for Auditor of State. This is one of Arkansas's 7 constitutional officers. The Auditor serves as general accountant for the state & as payroll officer for the 3 branches of government. The Auditor also administers the unclaimed property program.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Honesty, integrity, transparency, & accountability are very important qualities for any elected official & make an overall decent human being.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I have over a decade of experience in the private sector directly related to the functions of this office. I also will provide honesty, transparency, accountability, & integrity to the taxpayers of Arkansas.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

This is one of Arkansas's 7 constitutional officers. The Auditor serves as general accountant for the state & as payroll officer for the 3 branches of government. The Auditor also administers the unclaimed property program.

What responsibilities of this office do you personally consider the most important?

Administering the unclaimed property program & it's outreach to citizens. Administering the basic accounting functions and payroll for the 3 branches of government in Little Rock.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for holders of this office to have previous experience in government or politics?

It isn't important for holders of this office to have any previous government or political experience, although I do. It is however important that they understand accounting & have some basic sense of budgeting & running an office or business. I have over a decade of experience in finance owning tax & financial services & would be able to learn quickly the functions of this office on day one.

What kind of skills or expertise do you believe would be the most helpful for the holders of this office to possess?

It is important that the holder of this office understand accounting & have some basic sense of budgeting & running an office or business. I have over a decade of experience in finance owning tax & financial services & would be able to learn quickly the functions of this office on day one.
