Simon Ribeiro
Simon Ribeiro was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of Illinois. Ribeiro was defeated by incumbent Jan Schakowsky in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1]
Biography
Ribeiro graduated from Evanston Township High School and earned university degrees in political science, history, and secondary education.[2]
Career
Currently, Ribeiro is a high school teacher in the Chicago Archdiocese.[2]

Incumbent Jan Schakowsky defeated Ribeiro in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1] Schakowsky will face Republican candidate Timothy Wolfe in the general election on November 6, 2012. Wolfe ran unopposed in the Republican primary.
