A Soil & Water Conservation District Levy Increase question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Williams County, which is in Ohio, where it was defeated.
If approved, this question would have authorized the Soil and Water Conservation District to impose an additional property tax levy of up to 0.45 mills ($0.45 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund the construction and maintenance of improvements and expenses of the District.[1]

“ | An additional tax for the benefit of the Williams County Soil and Water Conservation District for the purpose of construction and maintenance of improvements and expenses of soil and water conservation district programs at a rate not exceeding 0.45 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.045 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[1][2] | ” |
