I enjoy serving Scottsdale as a Councilwoman every day and I am enthusiastically seeking re-election.

My husband and I moved her in 1996 for 'just six months', fell in love with Scottsdale, stayed and raised our kids here. I am an electrical engineer, conservationist, volunteer, and a former Scottsdale Preserve Commissioner.

In 2018, Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve was threatened with development by the City Council while denying residents a public vote. I ran for Council to protect the Preserve and voters in every precinct elected me.

Today, Scottsdale is much better off. Overdevelopment has been replaced with quality development that uphold our character. Today, Scottsdale has more parks and open spaces, infrastructure is funded, sustainability and caring for vulnerable populations are priorities, neighborhoods matter, and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve is protected.

In addition to my work at City Hall, I volunteer at our City’s Granite Reef Senior Center and I serve on the Board of Waste Not Arizona. I previously served as Director of a conservation non-profit and was awarded the 2009 Conservationist of the Year by the Arizona Wildlife Federation. My husband and I have three grown children and spend a lot of time outdoors.

  • Scottsdale's greatest accomplishments happen when community priorities and City Hall are aligned.
  • Keeping Scottsdale financially and environmentally sustainable go hand-in-hand and will ensure continued prosperity in our beautiful Sonoran Desert City.
  • With good leadership and long-range planning, Scottsdale can tap two new water sources - recycled and conserved water - and ensure safe and reliable water for the future.
Tapping technology, adopting policies, and building on our long-standing preservation ethos to ensure Scottsdale earns international recognition as a luxury destination that showcases sustainable Sonoran Desert living lifestyle. Scottsdale is well-suited to achieve this recognition with additional focus on three areas: energy conservation, Water recycling and conservation, and continued investment in open space.
