A Solon City Zoning Approval Amendment measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Cuyahoga County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.

This measure amended the Solon City Charter to allow the Council authority over zoning boundaries and ordinances in emergency circumstances.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall Article IV, Section 6, of the Charter of the City of Solon be amended to allow for the Council to take action relating to any changes in the boundaries or zoning ordinances of the City under an emergency measure if necessary, while still requiring approval by a majority of the electors city-wide and in each applicable ward?[1][2]
