A Somis Union School District bond proposition, Measure S ballot question was on the November 6, 2012, ballot for voters in the Somis Union School District in Ventura County, where it was approved.
Measure S authorizes the school district to borrow $9 million.
A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for approval.

Support
- Shirley Otero, a teacher in the district, supported Measure S. She said, "We do the best we can with what we have. But we need to come into the 21st century."[1]
- Colleen Robertson, superintendent of the district, supported Measure S. She said, "The reality is, we're 90 years old and desperately need to have improvements made. As a community of 3,000, this is like the center. We've waited 90 years; we can't wait any longer. We want to provide world-class education. It's hard to do that in an antiquated setting."[1]

| Measure S: "To Improve the quality of education; modernize outdated classrooms and school facilities; make health and safety improvements; improve student access to computers and technology; replace old heating, ventilation and cooling systems; construct science and computer labs, and upgrade inadequate electrical and plumbing systems; shall the Somis Union School District issue $9,000,000 of bonds at legal interest rates, have an independent citizens' oversight committee and have NO money used for administrative salaries or be taken by the state?"[2] |
