Sophia Brown Crawford was a judge for the Davidson County Juvenile Court in Davidson County, Tennessee. She was elected by the Metro Council on October 16, 2012, after facing a runoff with Carlton Lewis. Crawford won with twenty-five votes to Carlton's thirteen.[1]

Crawford ran for re-election to the Davidson County Juvenile Court in 2014 but was defeated by Sheila Calloway in the Democratic primary on May 6.[2][3] Her term expired on August 31, 2014.

Crawford received her undergraduate degree in criminal justice with minors in psychology and sociology from Middle Tennessee State University in 1983 and her J.D. from the Nashville School of Law in 1988.[4][5]
