The South Carolina Amendment on Impeachment, Amendment 5 was on the ballot in South Carolina on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure amended the Constitution to expand on the officials subject to impeachment.[1]

| "Shall Article XV of the Constitution of this State, relating to impeachment, be amended so as to further specify officials subject to impeachment and to provide that impeachment shall be for cases of serious crimes or serious misconduct in office?"[2][3] |
