This measure was not put on an election ballot |
The South Dakota Elector Determination Process Initiative did not make the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of South Dakota as a ballot initiative. The measure would have changed the process of determining the state's electors for the Electoral College; the state would have become part of an interstate agreement to allocate all electoral votes to the presidential ticket receiving the most popular votes nationwide. The measure was filed by attorney Michael Shaw on behalf of sponsors State Senators Craig Tieszen and Jason Frerichs and Representatives Peggy Anne Gibson and Tad Perry.[1]
