| This measure was not put on an election ballot |
The South Dakota Health Insurance Standards Referendum did not make the November 6, 2012, general election ballot in the state of South Dakota as a veto referendum. The measure's supporters were gathering signatures to place it on the ballot, but it was not deemed valid for the ballot by state officials. The proposal would have put Senate Bill 43 to a vote. The bill would revise health insurance standards for patient protection.[1]
