South Dakota election recap, 2012
November 15, 2012
South Dakota: Running as the only judicial candidate in the state, South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Glen A. Severson took center stage in this year's judicial election. And he did not disappoint! 80% of voters (239,067) agreed that Severson has been doing a good job on the court, retaining him to an eight-year term.
Justice Severson was appointed in to the Second Supreme Court District in 2009 by Republican Governor Mike Rounds. Before his appointment, Severson served as the presiding judge of the Second Judicial Circuit from 2002 to 2009. He will be up for retention again in 2020.
