Dr. Kent DeKoninck is the superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools. DeKoninck began serving as superintendent in July 2024. His previous career experience includes working as a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal, principal, director of personnel, and assistant superintendent.[1]

Past superintendents

  • Park Ginder is the superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools. Ginder was appointed interim superintendent in early 2021 and full superintendent in June 2021 serving until May 2024. Ginder's previous career experience includes working within the district as a principal, assistant principal, department head, and an art teacher.[2]
  • Philip Downs was the superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools from July 2014 until 2021. Downs' previous career experience includes working as the district's assistant superintendent and as a principal in Northwest Allen County Schools.[3]
